2021 Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon Came to a Successful Conclusion
October 31, 2021 Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon organized by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and sponsored by Dfinity, Web3 Foundation, Protocol Labs, Qtum and Moonbeam has come to a successful conclusion.
Under the theme of “Digital World 2077”, 2021 Wanxiang Blockchain Hackathon attracted talented developers around the world to explore the value of blockchain and the collaboration of blockchain and other digital technologies, such as AI, IoT, 5G, VR and AR in building the digital future.
After the registration and preliminary that lasted over two months, 31 talented teams made it to the final that took place in Shanghai, China from October 22 to October 31 and competed for a total prize of over $72,500.
Jia Yaoqi ,Head of Parity Asia, Wang Longfei, Filecoin Developer Advocate, Zheng Yi, Core Developer of Qtum, Tang Yi, Vice President of Qiming Venture Partners, Henry DUONG, Moonbeam Developer Relations Engineer, Xiao Xiao, CFA, Investment Executive Director of HashKey Capital, Hao Yukun, Senior Director of Shanghai Wanxiang Blockchain Inc., Paul Liu, Technical Staff of Dfinity and Robert Yan, NEAR Asia Tech Lead were invited as judges in this hackathon.
With a professional judgement on the creativity, code, roadshow performance of the 31 teams, Wanxiang Blockchain Labs announced the prize winners as follows:
The first prize went to IC Contacts, who were awarded with 50,000 RMB (about $7.7k).
The second prize went to Web3go and Taishang NFT Wallet, Each of them won 30,000 RMB (about $4.6k).
Walnut, Witness and Amaralink got the third prize and won 10,000 RMB (about $1.5k) each.
