The 2022 IC Bootcamp Kicks off with Six-month Incubation and Acceleration Courses

The 2022 IC Bootcamp opening ceremony kicked off online at 14:00, April 7th(UTC+8) and were broadcast live through Wanxiang Blockchain’s live-streaming chat room on Bilibi (China’s Youtube). Dominic Williams, DFINITY Founder and Chief Scientist, Du Yu, General Director of Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, Herbert Yang, DFINITY Asia GM, and Hao Yukun, Senior Director of Wanxiang Blockchain attended online, elaborating on details about the upcoming six-month training course and the support participants might get.

Collaboratively launched by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, New Chainbase, and the DFINITY Foundation, the 2022 IC Bootcamp is Asia’s first-ever Internet Computer training program focused on connecting great startup projects building on the Internet Computer blockchain with ecosystem resources to jointly explore and develop the Web3 ecology.

The twelve selected teams, AstroX Network, BACA, CCC (Crowd Created Collectables), CloudBox, Deland Labs Orderswap, Dmail Network, Dstar Note, Hash Mix, IC Transaction Coordinator, KVERSO, NFTOFU, and Relation, will receive technological and financial support from the DFINITY Foundation, Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, and New Chainbase during the six-month period.

“Today the internet computer is the world’s most advanced blockchain by some margin. Using this platform, developers will be able to build decentralized services and dApps that run in the mode of true web3 without any need for traditional IT such as cloud services,” said Dominic Williams, DFINITY Founder and Chief Scientist during the opening ceremony. “Thank you for becoming part of this new movement and paradigm shift, and I also wish to extend my thanks to WanXiang, a long-term partner for making all of this possible.”

In his remarks, Du Yu General Director of Wanxiang Blockchain Labs stressed that well-developed applications guarantee the sound development of an ecosystem. “We very much hope to discover and incubate varied blockchain-based infrastructure through the Bootcamp, to create an enabling environment for Web3 dApp development in the IC ecosystem. We are also excited to see that these selected teams are actually developing projects very close to our real lives; it is fantastic and meaningful.”

Hao Yukun, Senior Director of Wanxiang Blockchain elaborated on the course arrangement and timeline, which will consist of the incubation phase from April to June and the acceleration phase from July to September. The incubation phase includes training courses regarding technology, product development, operation, legal affairs, etc. During the acceleration phase, teams will get financial and marketing support and opportunities to exchange with their peers. “We are launching the IC Bootcamp not only to pool resources to contribute to the success of the 12 teams, but to encourage IC pioneers to work together for a thriving IC ecosystem. I believe the Bootcampers will help bridge the gap between applications and the ecology, communicating with and learning from each other to better work and grow with IC ecology.”
