The 6th Global Blockchain Summit Opens Today
The 6th Global Blockchain Summit 2020 hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, under the theme of “Blockchain New Economy: Integrated Innovation”, was officially opened at W Hotels at 9 a.m. on October 27th. It is for the first time that guests and audiences from different industries all over the world are meeting online and offline to listen to and learn about the development trend of blockchain, Internet of Things, 5G and other technologies and industries.
The summit this year is trying to explore how the combination of blockchain technology and the Internet of Things, 5G, cloud computing and other technologies can help enable industrial upgrading and leverage the real benefits of technology to truly create socio-economic values. This summit was guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and the People’s Government of Hongkou District, Shanghai. It also supported by Web3 Foundation, Protocol Labs, PlatON, Microsoft, Nervos Network, SNZ, Qtum, InfClouds, Mask Network, Acala Network, Algorand Foundation, NEAR Protocol, and Qiming Venture Partners.

This year is the first time that the summit has been held online and offline simultaneously since inception in 2015. This is not only a buffer against the global epidemic crisis, but also aims to create a space-free platform for speakers and interested blockchain enthusiasts. What differentiates it from those of previous years also lies in the design of the main forum and sub-forums. On the second day of the summit, the summit will probe respectively into “Distributed Cognitive Industrial Internet”, “Internet of Things 3.0” and “Digital Finance”.
