Wanxiang Blockchain and CQM Reach Strategic Cooperation on Blockchain-based Carbon Verification and Footprint Systems
Dec.3, 2021, Wanxiang Blockchain and China Quality Mark Certification Group (CQM) announced a strategic cooperation on the innovative development of technologies that will contribute to reducing carbon emission. Vincent Y. Wang, Executive President of Wanxiang Blockchain and Dong Xin, Vice President of CQM attended the ceremony and signed the documents.
In accordance with the cooperation agreement, Wanxiang Blockchain and CQM will make concerted efforts in the following aspects. First, the two companies will explore the value of blockchain, smart contracts, IoT, Knowledge Graph in carbon emission reduction and carbon neutral and build blockchain-based carbon verification and footprint systems to make the process more transparent and trusted. Second, leveraging each other’s experience and resources, Wanxiang Blockchain and CQM will contribute to China’s goal of reaching the peak of carbon emission before 2030 and realizing carbon neutral before 2060. Third, the two partners will explore more cooperation opportunities and models in electronic information industry.
