Web3 Foundation to Sponsor the Sixth Global Blockchain Summit
Web3 Foundation confirms to be the diamond sponsor of the Sixth Global Blockchain Summit, one of the premiere blockchain events in Asia and the world hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs. Polkadot, an open source project funded by Web3 Foundation and developed by Parity will set an exhibition booth at the venue of the summit and Dr. Gavin Wood, Founder of Polkadot has confirmed to deliver a speech at the summit.
Polkadot is built to enable a completely decentralized web where users are in control by connecting private and consortium chains, public and permissionless networks, oracles, and future technologies that are yet to be created with its advanced technical architecture.
Taking place from Oct.27th-28th both online and offline in Shanghai, China, the Sixth Global Blockchain Summit will put hot topics like Web 3.0, cross-chain and interoperability that are key to Polkadot high on the agenda. Blockchain influencers, including technical experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from home and abroad will be gathered under one roof to exchange their insightful ideas on these hot topics and explore tangible solutions to challenges facing the global blockchain industry.
Moreover, under the theme of Integrated Innovation, this summit will also inspire discussion and thoughts on encouraging efficient cooperation among different industries and enabling a vibrant ecosystem with the integrated innovation of blockchain and other digital technologies like AI, IoT, 5G, etc.
Wanxiang Blockchain has been a close partner of the Web3 Foundation and Parity, the major supporters of Polkadot long before this sponsorship. On May 7th, 2020, a Web 3.0 Bootcamp co-hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, New Chainbase, Parity and the Web3 Foundation kicked off. Aiming to amplifying the value of Wanxiang Blockchain ecosystem and Polkadot global ecosystem through cooperation, this boot camp provided all projects with trainings in technology, product, marketing and cooperation opportunities, which helps them develop sustainable business models and grow into promising start-ups.
Over the past 4 months and more, with Wanxiang Blockchain’s all-round trainings in technology, product, financing, compliance, marketing and human resources as well as 40 customized technical lessons about parachain, Polkadot economy, off-chain worker, etc, prepared by Parity and the WebF3 Foundation, participants of this boot camp learned the ropes of starting a promising business and got a deeper understanding of the architecture of Polkadot and the Web 3.0 ecosystem.
As Web 3.0 Bootcamp is entering the final phase, a Demo Day will be thrown during the Open Day of 2020 Shanghai International Blockchain Week on Oct. 26th. This showcase will take place both offline and online where projects trained in the boot camp will demonstrate their achievements. This will also be an exciting opportunity for those projects to introduce themselves to the world.
On top of the Open Day (Oct.26th) and the Sixth Global Blockchain Summit (Oct.27th-28th), the 2020 Shanghai International Blockchain Week, lasting from Oct. 23rd to 28th, also features a hackathon on Oct.23rd -25th that will attract talented blockchain developers and enthusiasts around the world to compete on topics about the convergence of blockchain and other technologies.
