With the theme of “New Economy: New Decade, New Beginning”, the three-day Shanghai International Blockchain Week 2019 is composed of Demo Day and the 5th Global Blockchain Summit.
With all the rapid development happening in the industry, blockchain and its applications are changing the way we conduct business and participate in societal processes. On Demo Day, excellent blockchain-oriented startups and projects, with their respective field of applications, will be presenting their progress and development to industry participants, providing a unique opportunity to understand the potential values of blockchain technology. It’s also worth mentioning that many of the projects made their debut at Wanxiang Blockchain Demo Day have obtained great development and been the industry benchmarking projects, such as Cosmos, Qtum, imToken, VeChain, and more.

History of the Event
Global Blockchain Summit, is initiated by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs in 2015 and held annually in Shanghai since then. What makes it different from other blockchain events is that it is content-based. Every year, the event gathers world-known technicians, entrepreneurs, academics, investors, and representatives from various industries to share the professional insight on blockchain latest development, challenges and opportunities facing. Vitalik Buterin, Nick Szabo, David Chaum, Silvio Micali, Patrick Byrne and many other industry vanguards have been the speakers of past four years’ event.
October 2015: The 1st Global Blockchain Summit, with over 300 participants.
September 2016: Shanghai International Blockchain Week 2016, including Devcon2 and 2nd Global Blockchain Summit, with over 700 participants.
September 2017: The 3rd Global Blockchain Summit, with over 1200 participants.
September 2018: Shanghai International Blockchain Week 2018, composed of Wanxiang Blockchain Hackthon Shanghai, Tech Open Day, 4th Global Blockchain Summit, with over 2000 participants.
